Hunt Bell
Host a session. Calls hunters into your world. BBSC's co-op kit does not charge Insight to summon.
One hunt. Many worlds. A practical reference for Bloodborne Seamless Co-op: the items, rules, settings and network behavior behind your shared journey.
Bloodborne Seamless Co-op changes the game's traditional short summoning encounters into a long-running group session. A host can explore with as many as four guests, for a party of five. Deaths, bosses, lamps, area transitions and visits to the Hunter's Dream are designed not to disband the group.
Keep a shared session through areas, deaths, boss fights and lamps.
Each hunter retains their own character, level, inventory and Blood Echoes.
Host world-state sync and optional additive guest progression sync.
Enemies receive configurable bonuses for additional guests.
This is an unofficial guide to the mod, not an official Bloodborne or Sony service. BBSC itself is a community project.
There are two Windows client routes into the same BBSC multiplayer experience. They are packaged differently:
BBSC-0.0.1-Play.zip already contains the BBSC launcher, modified emulator/shadPS4.exe and BBSC mod. You do not download another shadPS4 separately. Supply only your own supported Bloodborne game files.
Install an actual Windows BBPort release first. The BBSC BBPort download provides separate integration files and launcher scripts, not the complete BBPort game runner. Latest upstream Windows version reviewed: 1.7.2; original BBSC ZIP was written for 1.6+.
The website/shadNet account password signs you in. The in-game multiplayer password is for matching with your partners. Do not enter an account password as your multiplayer password.
The mod replaces some vanilla bell and disconnection lines with clearer co-op text. Other players must have compatible client and server settings; changing a single toggle in only one client may not produce the expected result.
The official feature list names five co-op tools. This table describes their BBSC roles, not vanilla Bloodborne behavior.
Host a session. Calls hunters into your world. BBSC's co-op kit does not charge Insight to summon.
Join a host. The guest's summoning tool, including cross-map joins where supported.
Invade. Initiates the mod's invasion-style multiplayer behavior.
Leave the session. Used to depart an active multiplayer group.
PvP toggle. Switches whether players can duel/fight one another within the group.
The public release descriptions confirm item roles, but do not document precise item IDs, acquisition location, stack limits or every PvP interaction. Those details should only be added after checking the actual mod implementation or developer documentation.
The guest connects first, then loads into the host's map. This removes the usual requirement that everyone wait in the exact same location.
Guests are intended to follow the host during lamp-based travel. The host can use lamps while co-op is active.
Guests can accompany the host to the Dream and use the Doll, workshop and messengers, subject to early-version limitations.
Area transitions are allowed rather than ending play at the usual co-op boundaries.
The session is designed to persist when the host dies. Dead players can respawn or enter a spectating state rather than being automatically sent away.
Black fades cover some guest load transitions. A floor guard aims to prevent crashes when character terrain is unloaded.
Guests should see the host's current world state, including affected doors, bosses and lifts. This lets visitors interact with the host's version of an area while in the group.
When a guest goes home, the mod can add the host's completed bosses, shortcuts, doors and lamps to that guest's own world. The package describes the sync as additive only: it does not remove guest progress. The mod also states it backs up saves before synchronization.
Guests can disable Shared progress if they prefer to preserve independent world progression. That preference is different from temporary world-state sync while visiting a host.
These behavior switches are enabled by default in both distributed v0.0.1 mod manifests.
BBSC includes custom scaling that strengthens enemies as more guests join. The setting is designed to replace the game's built-in boss co-op buff. Its per-guest defaults can be changed in the mod options.
| Characteristic | Default per guest | Supported setting range |
|---|---|---|
| Regular enemy HP | +40% | 0–300% |
| Boss HP | +100% | 0–300% |
| Enemy & boss damage | +15% | 0–200% |
| Normal enemy stagger resistance | +15% | 0–200% |
| Boss stagger resistance | +20% | 0–200% |
Hostile NPC hunters such as Henryk and Djura have their own Scale NPC hunters toggle, which defaults to off.
Illustrative base multipliers using the packaged per-guest defaults
Calculation: 1 + (party size − 1) × default bonus. This is a nominal interpretation of the mod's “per guest” settings, not a measured final in-game stat. NG+ cycles, individual enemy rules or implementation details may further affect actual values. This panel does not change anyone's game.
The mod's Discord status option is enabled by default in both uploaded v0.0.1 manifests. Its description says Discord can show BBSC, the current area, boss fights and hunter count.
Area and encounter details
Hunter count · Solo or co-op context
Design concept only. Exact strings and layout not confirmed from a live Discord profile. One player indicates a solo session and multiple hunters indicate a group, if the Rich Presence client exposes that information correctly. The manifest confirms hunter-count reporting, not a specific literal “Playing Solo”/“Playing Co-op” status string. The Discord app must be running and activity visibility enabled.
To disable: turn off Discord status in the mod's options. Discord Rich Presence is distinct from the website's proposed per-account Playing BBSC status; the public aggregate shadNet stats endpoint alone cannot identify which account is online.
These 31 actual entries are taken from the mod.json inside both the uploaded Play and BBPort 0.0.1 archives. Their default values and ranges are preserved. The final column gives the corresponding environment variable for advanced launches.
Most users should leave the defaults alone. Features like co-op hooks and P2P messages are dependencies for other behavior; disabling them can break parts of seamless mode. Options shown by a particular launcher may differ between builds.
There isn't a separate shadPS4 server and a separate BBPort server. They are two client frontends that can connect to the same shadNet + BBSC game-server pair. The public developer host and a self-hosted host provide equivalent categories of backend service, but each host maintains its own accounts and sessions.
Join an existing BBSC host over the internet; no local server installation. The upstream Play archive is configured for the developer's public hostname, seamlessbloodborne.duckdns.org, until a player changes it.
Run shadNet and the BBSC game server yourself for friends, on a LAN/VPN, a Windows PC, or a VPS. Players switch their client card, accounts, and game API redirects to that host. Self-hosting is optional for clients.
In either case the backend handles login and matching, plus supporting online APIs. Game traffic is peer-to-peer when a direct path works; the server package documents optional UDP NAT relay and an additional game-message relay. Do not assume every optional relay is active on a particular community server.
| Service | Seamless Hunt endpoint | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| shadNet TCP | play.seamlesshunt.com:31313 | Account login and matching |
| shadNet UDP | play.seamlesshunt.com:31314 | Matching transport |
| shadNet web API | http://play.seamlesshunt.com:31315 | Summoning/web API |
| BBSC game web API | http://play.seamlesshunt.com:20443 | Bloodborne game services |
| Community site | https://seamlesshunt.com | Website-only account registration and wiki |
Community routing: these hostnames resolve to 199.195.193.131 (at the time of this guide). Both shadPS4 and BBPort players can connect here when configured; the original developer's host is a different account realm. Do not confuse the hostname with the backend type.
The mod manifest references 20444 for game-message relaying and the official self-host documentation mentions UDP 3478 for a NAT relay. Those are version-specific optional services; neither is advertised here as verified running on Seamless Hunt.
BBSC-0.0.1-Play.zip from the official BBSC releases. Check the developer's newer hotfixes before choosing which package is current.emulator/shadPS4.exe, BBSC-Launcher.exe, and mods/CUSA03173/bbsc/. Do not overwrite it with a normal shadPS4 release.PLAY BBSC.cmd. The package is designed to reuse your normal shadPS4 settings and saves; for an earlier portable setup, follow COPY MY SHADPS4 SETTINGS.cmd.JOIN-HOST.cmd and verify the game and shadNet URLs point to play.seamlesshunt.com or its current IP. The unmodified archive may still point to the original public host.Bloodborne.exe, select your own eboot.bin for CUSA03173 v01.09, and confirm that BBPort works normally by itself before adding BBSC. Back up BBPort's user folder (saves/settings).BBport_latest test release or the matching BBSC-0.0.1-BBport.zip from official releases. Check its included README and files before applying it; a hotfix for shadPS4 is not automatically a BBPort patch.PLAY BBPORT + BBSC.cmd. Its file picker locates BBPort's Bloodborne.exe and your game eboot.bin, then starts BBPort using bbsc/bbsc-launch.exe + the mod. It does not replace BBPort's executable.play.seamlesshunt.com:31313. The launcher generates user/host_overrides.custom.json in your BBPort installation, routing the game API and summoning to the same host. Do not casually overwrite the original host_overrides.json.PLAY BBPORT + BBSC.cmd, choose online at the game's title screen, then host/join with the Hunt/Kin Bells. No server package needed for ordinary players. BBSC-0.0.1-Server.zip is for people who want to host a backend, not for connecting to either an existing public host or Seamless Hunt. Keep private registration keys and login passwords private.
These are three separate release streams. Their version numbers and files must not be conflated:
| Project | Latest found (14 Oct 2026) | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| BBSC official releases | v0.0.1_hotfix_2 and a separate BBport_latest test release | BBSC Play/client updates and separate BBPort test integration |
| Nexus Mods · BBSC | 0.0.1 mod-only archive | Update mod files in an existing, matching BBSC installation; not a full launcher/emulator/port |
| Supermedo · BBPort Windows | windows-v1.7.2 | Standalone BBPort executable, runtime and Windows launcher, not BBSC integration |
Back up the working BBSC Play folder and saves. Follow the specific BBSC Play/hotfix release instructions, keeping the bundled modified emulator and mod compatible. Nexus Mods explicitly says its download contains only mod files and should be used for updates to an existing BBSC install. Do not install it as a complete Play package, and do not drop a generic shadPS4 build over BBSC's custom emulator.
user folder, current host_overrides.custom.json and BBSC helper folder (including any account/server configuration).Bloodborne.exe, bin/bb-probe.exe and your eboot.bin; verify it targets the correct server and that user/host_overrides.custom.json is regenerated correctly.BBport_latest GitHub release description is brief; its exact file-level compatibility with 1.7.2 is not confirmed by that description. Not in BBSC 0.0.1. Chalice Dungeons work solo, but co-op inside them isn't supported yet.
This is a documented first-test bug. A full party wipe can return the host to the Hunter's Dream instead of the last lamp.
In the host's Hunter's Dream, the Doll can show this state if the host has not awakened her. It's a known early-version issue.
The developers document some visual and prompt inconsistencies in v0.0.1. Retain logs and report reproducible problems.
Make sure you've selected the same server where the account was created, and enter the correct account name/password. Seamless Hunt uses website-only registration, so don't use the stock “Create Account on Server” command. BBPort users should use the corrected account helper for this server.
Check that everyone runs the same BBSC version, uses the same shadNet server, has valid logins, and entered the same multiplayer password. Confirm firewall rules and the correct game endpoint only if connection errors persist.
Being online in the regular BBPort launcher does not prove that the BBSC DLL is loaded. Launch with PLAY BBPORT + BBSC.cmd, verify the BBSC log in its helper folder, and make sure the selected shadNet backend and override file match your friends. Recent BBPort offers multiple network pools, and those accounts are not interchangeable.
BBSC 0.0.1 helper documentation requires 1.6 or newer. Supermedo 1.7.2 is the latest release found here, but every BBSC wrapper revision needs compatibility testing. Check the official BBPort test release and revert to your last working combination if a port update changes the launch path.
Use the developer's Discord and include your BBSC build, whether you were hosting/joining, steps to reproduce and both players' logs. The upstream README references mods/CUSA03173/bbsc/logs/ and shadPS4 emulator logs in user/log/shad_log.txt or %APPDATA%\shadPS4\log\.
Reviewed 14 October 2026. This wiki documents BBSC 0.0.1, including the official hotfix/test release names known on that date. The supplied package manifests describe gameplay settings; the independently maintained BBPort Windows release has its own version number.
